The most important choice is which 'type of alert' you want:
New or uncommon weeds
Creates an alert when a species is recorded for the first few times in your selected place or places.
By default SWAT notifies you of species with fewer than 10 weed records over the last 10 years.
After you select this alert type, the next step is to select places.
Category of weed
Limits your alert to species on recognised lists or programmes. For example, species on the environmental weeds list, or weeds in your regional council’s pest management plan.

Particular weed species
Sends alerts for the exact species you select.
After you select this alert type, the next step is to select the all weeds or particular species.
