The Tasman-Nelson Regional Pest Management Plan (RPMP) sets out how specific pest species will be managed in the Tasman District and Nelson City. It is managed by Tasman District Council and Nelson City Council.
Note that inclusion of a species on a RPMP does not necessarily mean that the species is managed across the whole region. To find out how a particular weed species is managed in your area, refer to the RPMP on the Tasman District Council or Nelson City Council website.
Taxonomy note
SWAT uses the global Catalogue of Life taxonomy, which does not always align with the taxonomies used in New Zealand. As a result, the species names or synonym relationships in the RPMP may differ from those used in SWAT. To see how the species in this RPMP are represented in SWAT, refer to the species list by management programme.
Note that Pomaderris kumeraho is included in the Site-Led management programme. Since this is a native species, it will not be included in SWAT alerts.
